The Myth of the Labyrinth
Arthur Evans excavated the palace of Minos at Knossos on Crete in 1904. The three and a half thousand year old building is thought to have had hundreds of different rooms. It has this almost labyrinthine plan which Arthur Evans wanted to name some of these rooms so here for instance you have the all of the colonnades or even the Queen's Megaron where he thought that the Queen and her court sons hung out.
