The Importance of Metal in Radio Emissions
The most intense radio emissions are still the ballistic missile early warning system in Greenland that is basically, it's a radar signal. If you have a polished piece of metal, it'll be shiny, silvery colored, or it can be, and it will reflect back the light. As soon as you get to frequencies where the individual sort of distances between the peaks in the electromagnetic wave get to be smaller than the distance between atoms, kind of all bets are off. But when it isn't like that, the thing acts like a mirror.
