The Rebuke of the Priests

Malachi is taking the familiar words of blessing and reversing them as a rebuke. In verse four, God says he's eliminating them so that his covenant with Levi, Levi was the ancestor of all the priests, might stand. The dung from the sacrificial animal is to be taken outside the camp and burned because it was unclean.
