Chapter Eight, Verses 2 to 5
In chapter eight, the woman expresses a desire to return to the houses of their mothers where they were conceived, born, raised. She leads her man back to her mother's house. In both places, we have successive repeated refrains, i adjure you, o daughters of jerusalem, that you not stir up or awaken love until it pleases who is that coming up from the wilderness? Peter lightheart remarks upon the way that the song stands out from the rest of the scriptures in speaking about sex.
