The Importance of Antibiotics in Treatment of TB
Birculosis is treatable and curable using second line drugs, but the second line treatment options require extensive medicines that are expensive and toxic. So if you don't respond to the most effective second line TB drugs, then you have not many options, right? If you're not doing your full course of antibiotics, there's no point in risking creating a more resistant strain of bacteria. It's sort of artificial selection, you're then selecting for bacteria that are resistant to these drugs. You're going to be like, basically pressuring these bacteria to pick up resistant to these,. to these drugs that you're using to kill them unnecessarily.
