The Roman Salute
We have no information that the romans used to salute anything like the at all. And certainly we don't have any material evidence of the exact same salute, where the hand is sort of straight from the wrist. There is nothing in any of our accounts about an oath. The oath of the horati is based on a roma legend where these three sets of triplets do triple combat against each other. The harati are the roman ones.
