This is not maga real estate owning, you know, sky scrapers letter 65 stories tall. Many of these buildings are owned by families, their mamma and pap landlords. For a large part of this burden is falling on small property owners. The new york court of appeals, in a decision in the bankruptcy context, held that rent stabilization benefits that a tenant has are public benefits provided by a discreet group of people. That decision, recently was codified by the new york legislature.
