The Biggest Problem of China Right Now Is the Brand of China.
In terms of total R&D spending, it is very close to the US. But growing at a rate that is fast in the US, so probably it will take the US in some time. A huge amount of investment has gone into China and to the whole R&D and innovation ecosystem. The biggest problem of China that I see right now is that the brand of China is not very strong.
