The Opioid Epidemic Is Bad, but Where Are We Now in 2023?
Over 10 million opioid misuse annually in the United States and close to 100,000 deaths annually across the country. We are seeing increasing trends of overdose, particularly with the use of fentanyl involved in the deaths. It's an increasingly more fatal crisis that we're tackling. The first thing that comes to mind is methadone, buprenorphine, and naltrexone or all FDA approved medications that not only reduce opioid use but also reduce overdoses.
