The History of the Wahhabism Movement

Around 250 years ago in this environment of nomadism with no central state, this religious revival movement, Wahhabism, comes into existence. It's named after a religious reformer who basically said that true Islam is not practiced and people have deviated from the belief in the one true God. The country owes its existence to their military efforts to unite this entire territory. And much of modern day Arabia came under their influence.
