Why the Left Was More in Favor of the General War on COVID

The left has no appreciation of the consumer economy. They really just don't care about it. Combined with they have a lot of resentment of the very idea of work. So I think that it's not that hard to understand why the left was much more in favor of the general war on COVID. The respect motive is that people will support whichever party respects them more.
