The Gap Between the Justice Department's Recommended Sentence and What They Received
Rhodes got 18 years, which is a very substantial sentence. It's the longest sentence any January 6th defendant has received but they wanted 25. The actual sentences range from seven years less than the government sought and what he imposed. Even when you look at the court's guidelines, all of his sentences were below the guidelines. They range from two years below the guidelines to seven years below the Guidelines.
