John Major: A Different Kind of Animal
I really liked John Major, but he did and does have, weirdly, this quite warm sort of antiquerism almost. I remember the cameras trying to take a photo of him when he was a candidate for Downing Street and he goes, no, not with my back to number ten. And we did a solver speaking, which is called, you just can't hate John Major. It was like frustrating for us on the left that we'd had all these vile Tory cabinet members who had been so sort of done so much damage to the country. He seemed to be a different kind of animal and that, I think, was master strobe by the Tories in putting him in place
