Act R Basics, Declarative and Procedurea Memory Systems
Act r focuses on problem solving, particularly in well defined domains like algebra or programming. It does not account how we move our bodies, nor how we transform imput from our eyes and ears to make sense of the problem. Act r argues that we have two different memory systems, declarative and procedura. The idea is that experience, we connect these chunks into elaborate networks, and then we can thus traverse the network to get information we need at one time.
