Why Is There No Happiness in the East?
The book emerged out of a conference, which hade quite ofa funny, nice title, why is there no happiness in the east? Which i organized. For me, the starting point for the topic was when i realized the asymetric order in knowledge production between eastern europe and the west. I am born in poland, but was later brought up and educated in west germany. My early career in my ler my specialty was the analysis of gendered welfare state regimes in sweden and germany,. But when i relocated to sweden and started doing research abyu poland, i saw things i had not done before.
