The Common Ownership Self Assessed Tax

The author proposes an alternative to private property that's based on the idea of auctions. Everyone, every l corporation or a person with significant private property would self assess the value of the asset and pay a tax for it. But there's a catch: Your valuation would be listed publicly, and you would have to be willing to sell it to anyone at that price. Would basically make two thirds of private wealth common property.
