The Relationship Between Perfectionism and Performance
In this culture, we kind of very feel that very strongly. When we look at the relationship to imperfection and performance, the correlations are very, very small to negligible. It's not this kind of secret to hyperfunctioning and maximization. We can choose on a path to do things slightly differently with conscientiousness, with diligence, flexibility, perseverance. These are all extremely positive ways of striving that come without the emotional baggage of perfectionism.
