The Cortez: A Regional Approach to Sneakers
The Cortez is such a mainstay in terms of like GR's and it's so prevalent in sneaker initially. It was funny I remember one of the Tibbets from the interview where he's like talking about you know LA gang and street culture so much about the Cortez but he goes dude. George Costanza wore that shoe. Yeah. He was smart enough to know that that shoe doesn't belong to a particular culture intrinsically and that people in Oregon designed it and it was a running shoe originally. So I think we enjoy regional sneaker taste but it's not territorial. They're like more authentic too.
