In this story, our woman narrator doesn't experience the horror that ensues. But what she knows about eddy is that he can't recover from what happened between them and the guorillas. Ah, so really it's he's not recovering from a moment of fellow feeling a or recognizing that what he did came from a denial of fellow feeling. In such a world, sexuality, politics, intelligence, power, motherhood, work, community, intimacy will develop new meanings thinking. It will be transformed. This is where we have to begin thinking about how that whole expedition would have gone differently if our narrator had not only been included on the expedition, but that our inclusion might have changed
