Milton's Memoirs

Milton was likely in attendance at the Great Hall in Westminster when King Charles was brought to trial. He wrote his work, another famous polemical work called the tenure of kings and magistrates during the prolonged proceedings. In a letter from Milton's Italian friend Carlo Dati, he complains about the Powell entourage who were living with him.
