Sims feels like something that would be natural for an open world online player game. It hasn't happened because we know it's a private world you could just read yourself. Play is so holistic and it's, I don't know, I think it's more important than work. And I will put a video game down if it feels like work, I'll tell you. The second it starts to feel like labor the point at which growing fairy roses doesn't feel like labor to me.
Gaming used to be for everybody, like Lego. But somewhere around the early noughties gaming became extremely gendered, with first person war shooters dominating mainstream gaming and “girl” games arrived.
