There's this anti-monarchic bent to the prophets in Israel. The Assyrians and the people at Mari had a more kind of court supporting prophet. And you'll find folks who will argue that even in moments when Acadian prophets or the Mari prophets are critical of the king, they're still couched in recuperative mode.
