The History of East Pakistan

The people of East Pakistan were a negligible part of the Pakistan Army and bureaucracy. Despite being the majority population, Bengalis were less than 10% of the army. India could have walked into East Pakistan in 1965. West Pakistan did not adequately provide help to East Pakistan. The final straw that broke the camel's back was when in 1970, the Bola cyclone hit East Pakistan.
