Why Should I Get a Flu Shot if I Never Got the Flu?

The flu shot is not 100% effective. It won't always protect you from getting the flu, but it does provide some protection and that's certainly not a reason to get it. Even if you still contract the flu after vaccination, generally speaking, the case of influenza you get is much more mild than if you were not vaccinated. And even when we're talking about prevention or so vaccines often work to prevent an illness, but they also reduce morbidity.
