What Is Risky Play?

It was assumed that children would be outdoors playing without adults around. By the late 1970s to about 1990 all the advice was about how you've got to supervise your kids. It's become regarded as negligent parenting if you give your child that kind of freedom. Why are these risky play is where kids are deliberately seeking risk? They're deliberately doing things that induce a little bit of fear in them climbing high in a tree until they feel a certain amount of fear.
