In a crisis, people switch from traditional sources of information to ones based on trust. This is very similar to what happens when you get into an argument with some one who doesn't believe you. And we find ourselves in these situations within high anxiety moments that are often thanks to the stance of politics and events that are taking place around us. We're trying to develop a world view where it's not just about our own views but also how other people see them as well.
