When we talk about micromanaging, it's this idea you're getting in the weeds with everything your employees are doing. We tend to not have a problem expressing our opinions, but we're not so skilled at listening to other folks. You can get really lost in small details rather than seeing the big picture and asking your employees to do a lot of busy work almost updating you on their every move. And I think the real issue is that you're trying to solve problems that you don't have firsthand knowledge.
