Isaiah 41 is where we first get it. Here's what it says, but you Israel, my servant, Jacob whom I've chosen,. The offspring of Abraham, my friend, you whom I took from the ends of the earth and it goes on and on. You are my servant says God. And I have not cast you off fear, not I'm with you. So let's look at the next one. In Isaiah 42, the servant's mission reaches to both the people of Israel and to the other nations of the world - Gentiles.
