How to Use a Buff in a Game

When you acquire a potion, it becomes like a buff that you can apply for yourself and it has a cooldown. I mean, any game where it's like crafting, you zoom the game, you must gather herbs. That was the worst part of which to me was having a dramatic run on a horseback through wilderness without being able to pick in a flower. You have to have somewhere in the game for you to do that kind of stuff. And it's not just something that is done on the road or like mid combat or whatever, you know what I mean?
