How Much Does Japan Have to Change in Response to the Cold War?
During the cold war, japan was growing a double diget grow and maybe the main political challenge was how to insurea equity in the distribution of the fruits of those growths. But by early 19 90 that was not going to be good enough any more. And soi suspect that in some form a though, that kind of reform was necessary. A ner, whether it was specificlly eform abe took it, it was a different question. but in general, that thrust a, i think, was appropriate response to the conditions of the last few decades.
