A Harvard professor wrote a book about the biology of exercise across time and going back into our ancestors. He found that we are engineered to conserve energy, which is biologically how we're built. We have to in some ways move against our biology but it doesn't actually require much from us. It's 150 minutes a week moderate intensity exercise and then maybe some walks, some stretching.
