In five years, 700 of the ten thousand that were promised to have been done by now have been completed. Audits from the city show that in some developments that taxpayers are funding,. The city is spending as much as 837 thousand dollars per unit, which is more expensive than apartments in downtown manhattan That's an interesting case study on obviously, there's a housing issue there, to a your point. But also, money doesn't seem to be entirely the answer.
