How to Turn Off the Fire Alarm in Chronic Constipation
When it comes to disorders of the gut brain in action, we're talking a lot of hyper sensitivity. And how do we get to calm down? The fire alarm was set off either by something like an infection or a cold, or course of antibiotics. Sometimes i'll give them, especially in chronic constipation, where i know that they have stool kind of sitting in their bowels, irritating the lining. If there was an insult, like an infection, i'll tell them, well, it's like we cut your arm open and then didn't quite allow it to heal,. It's just still being irritated. That's how our central nervous system is wired.
