The Financial Hierarchy of Needs

Blink is trying to create the best wallet for bottom up Bitcoin adoption. We were thinking a lot about like, why are people not just using self custodial wallets? Like, why are they not just writing down 12 words? It's not so hard, right? Why are they attracted to custodians and don't care about certain properties as much as we care? And what we discovered is basically that the personal finance development is driven by the needs intensity at a given time. But generally, we can see that it's very similar to Maslow's hierarchy of needs which has been postulated some eight years ago.
