Seeing People Have Fun in the Pie Fight

Carol lombard's last film, "King Ita," is a comedy about the end of the world. Director cubrick was going to end doctor srangeov with a pie fight but they were having too much fun and he decided against it. E.E. Cupp: I'm glad that caro lombard, especially since it was her last fil am, had fun,. But i think there's a different way in which watching people have fun in the pie fight undercuts the seriousness of everything.
