I'm fascinated by the breadth of this man's understanding, almost seemingly endless. And I get this tension when I read your book and other books that I've read about von Neumann. There's a tension between sort of the hyper rational von Neumann and then the von Neumann who drove his car reading a book or had wonderfully fun parties. Can you elaborate on that? It is difficult. His wife said at the end of his life, he was a mystery even to her, was destined to remain so. But it's quite clear that they were there.
