The Importance of Free Speech in a Liberal Democracy

CNN's John Sutter says he would destroy Facebook and Twitter if there was a way to do so. He argues that we can't ban technology without questioning liberalism or even becoming illiberal ourselves. We need to revise the 1996 Internet Communications Law, which basically says no platform is liable for anything done or said on their platforms. The last time this happened it took us 40 years but I'm hoping this one will be a little faster.
