Afghanistan - The Worst Case Scenario Predictions Are Quite Dire

Afghanistan has a tendency of proving the worst case scenario predictions correct. Lar miller is the direc of international crisis group's asia programme. The biggest difficulty faced by the afghan government over money is that in the years before the talaban assumed control, it was propped up by funding from abroad. About three quarters of public spending was supplied by foreign downers. Since the talaban took power, much of that money is no longer being sent. If that weren't difficult enough, america has imposed sanctions on the country, causing further damage to its finances.
