Our capacity to sit in silence for 90 seconds and observe is very much under attack. What we have going on is a four minute maximum attention span for most adults. And so as humans engaging in this practice of mindfulness serves a secondary purpose of taking your brain back, being able to control where you place your attention. You don't have to sit for 20 minutes in meditation. A simple act is noticing the difference between sitting and standing. Walking outside and stopping to watch a butterfly. That's an act of mindfulness. Listening to your breath, one hand of the heart,. One hand of the belly. For literally a moment, that's an act Of Mindfulness.
