The Dilemma of the Chinese Economy

China has chosen to keep its currency cheap so they can be an export led economy and sell stuff to the United States. So for them to basically let it float could undermine their core engine that's been the driver. And I think you could see a little bit of a turning point when they put out something they called the China 2025 plan. They were essentially talking about emulating or replacing many of the foreign direct investments with domestic corporations. The China 2025 program seemed to say not the labor intensive but the more complex capital intensive digital we're going to move into those sectors as the next phase of development.
