In the developer world, indeed, it's not common that your development environment is powered by the cloud. So we aren't asking our users to submit their test to our cloud. Instead of what we do, we start a tiny agent on the developers machine and on CI environments that connects to quite literally the same executing environment. We are running brittle machines close to the users because latency is important,. Similar to how it is in cloud gaming, just not exactly the same experience but it is important.
