What Is a Ghost Species?

Three ghost species are those that have not gone completely extinct, although they may lost or extirpated from a particular area. Woodland cariboo used to be the most widespread of all deer species in the great lakes region. Sturgeon almost win extinct, but now there's really tremendous restoration efforts led by first nation's community and tribes on a shenabeg land. Common loons are a long distance migrant, like the other two species, that people think of as incredibly common, as thriving. But i argue, even though there're more than 250 thousand breeding pairs in nada an us, of common loons, that they are at real risk of extinction.
