Edgar was crowned king of england, but that was just a formality. So it was time to get cracking and take the fight to william. And luckily, at this point, william and his normans were in no shape to fight. They had to leave a ton of sick and increasingly dhydrated soldiers behind at dover. Thank god canterbury didn't realize how precarious things were. Otherwise they might have actually put up a fight instead of handing over supplies. I'm guessing a bunch of moss and sticks for personal hygiene.
