The idea of it being morally okay for someone to coerce you to agree with something feels like we don't consent. In a majority rule it means that it might be that 51% of the people want to enslave 49%. If you believe in pure majoritarianism then it must be okay for 51% because it's the majority to be able to impose its will on the other. So if I'm in the minority I am mistaken about what Jean Jacques Rousseau calls the general will.
