Is There a Destructive Mentality on an Individual Level?
People don't think of work as being a responsibility wherein you need to deliver something of value for others so that they can willingly pay you for it. So in order to create economic value, you need money to be paid willingly. This is an enormously destructive mentality on an individual level because it doesn't force you to go out there and figure out how to serve others. I see this kind of thinking prevalent in some of the people who might oppose central banking but I think it's kind of the populists and kind of wrong-headed take on the problem of central banking. The world needs hard money. It doesn't need more money.
