Myths and Misconceptions About BFRBs

The age of onset is usually between 11 and 13, although we do see a class of kiddos that start pulling in really early childhood. BFRBs are highly related to sensory experiences but they're not the same as OCD or self-mutilation. The third myth is that BFRB's lead to other more dangerous psychopathology. We can't predict anything that should come because your child has a BFRB.
