The Effects of Fermented Foods on the Gut Ecosystem
The idea of keystone species come out over and over again that there's some that are the keystone species. The food they, they thrive on is more represented in a traditional Mediterranean diet because it's prebiotic like compounds or polyphenols. A recent study with a problematic intervention for people that ate a lot of fermented foods found that they showed to greatest effect on diversity and health of the ecosystem.
