Breaking the Two Party Doom Loop, the Case for Multi Party Democracy in America

Drutman: We are in a genuine two party system. That is really something new and different in our politics, that we've had two parties in name but those parties have been broughd overlapping coalitions much more like a multi party system. Itreally seems that's the only way forward, because the two parties are blocked in a death struggle, trench warfare,. an just digging themselves deeper and deeper into holes they can't climb out of.
