In the book, it seems like everyone thinks you're a spy except for your kind of old contacts that you'd met earlier. And I wondered if there was anything specific that you had to do to kind of either build trust with new people or shake off an reputation that preceded you even before you arrived. But remember, because I've been living in the Soviet Union and Russia off and on for a long time, I actually knew a lot of people in the Russian government well before I showed up as ambassador. They most certainly weren't afraid to meet with me.
