The Problem With Attachment Figures in Romantic Relationships
Some parents place themselves in the asymmetric role of wanting to have these S's from their kid. As we get older, you know, let's say as we move from childhood and to adolescence, we start to have attachment figures where the relationship is more symmetric. And then a romantic partner later on becomes your attachment figure and your, their attachment figure as well. But for us as parents, if we have unresolved issues of our own childhood, then when the child parent relationship is born again when we become parents, the child in us can get activated.
